Can't install on OS X

When I drag Stanza.app (beta 18 build #1:413) from the mounted drive to the applications shortcut (or to any other folder) I get the following error:

ERROR
An error occurred.
The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -36.)

However, I can run Stanza from the mounted drive and it works fine. Here's the system info from Stanza:

Operating System Mac OS X i386 10.6.2
Java Version Apple Inc. 1.6.0_17
SWT Version 3448
Memory 62MB total, 57MB free, 507MB max

Can I edit the importing of extra characters like page numbers and page headings?

The first dozen or so books I DL'ed to my Iphone were perfect. Now every book I DL has the page number and page headings included in the text. It is extremely distracting. What is causing this?
any help is appreciated....thanks

Can't upgrade to Beta18 (Mac version)

I'm trying to upgrade from version beta 17 to beta 18 with no success. After mounting the dmg, dragging Stanza to Applications shows a dialog box asking if I want to replace the current item. If I answer "yes" a Copy error is displayed telling me that I don't have permissions to access to some items.
I didn't find any report like this here, so it must be an unknown bug or, most probably, something with my Mac. I don't have any problems upgrading other applications.
My Mac is a unibody MacBook, SnowLeopard 10.6.1, and just a few books under Stanza library. I also have Stanza iPhone.

Java Error if I want open a EPUB-File

I am getting a java error (java.io.IOEXCEPTION: Pushback bufffer oweflow) if I wanna open an EPUB-File. with Stanza Desktop version. Stanza is a new installed version.
What the hell is the reason.?

ZipException opening pdf

Hi - I am trying to open a home-made pdf (125 pages) and receive the message

java.util.zip.ZipException: unknown compression method

Are there restrictions on the pdf format (size, etc.) that could produce this message? I can open other files.

Thanks very much for any assistance.

unreadable ePub

Hi,

I built an ePub of my own, but when I try to open the book in Stanza Destkop, it is unreadable.
It seems Stanza doesn't recognize my ePub as such. It reads other ePub files quite well, that's how I know the problem comes from my files, but the fact is, there's no DRM and the ePub is valid. is anyone aware of an error like this that passes epubcheck ? I've been checking my code for the last 6 hours now... and still no clue..
thanks in advance for the help !

this is what it looks like :

I have had this message all day. Anyone have any ideas?

Catalog Error trying to share book between itouch and mac

Hello I have the latest version of Stanza for Ipod Touch and the latest of Stanza for Mac (I'm on PowerPC)

When I select shared book on my itouch stanza (with stanza desktop open with a book loaded and the sharing option enable and on the same wireless) my itouch stanza tells me "Catalog Error, Scaduto" (in english "expired") and in Stanza Desktop no alert window show up.
What can I do? :(

Catalog Error when trying to access shared Windows Desktop Stanza from iPod Touch

When I try to access my shared book in the Windows Desktop Stanza from my IPod Touch Stanza I get the following error: "Error en catálogo. Error de lectura de datos del catálogo. Inténtelo más tarde" (which in english would be something like "Catalog error. Data reading error in catalog. Try again later.".

I've had success using the Mac Version of the Desktop.

My iPod stanza is version 1.7 and my Windows Desktop is beta 15 running on Windows XP.

Any ideas or suggestions?
