I have .fb2 files and use FBReader to read them. It also shows pictures in a file. When I tried Stanza, it does not show the pictures. What can I do? I use Stanza on i-touch.
Thanks,
Serge
I have Stanza and Kindle on my iPod Touch and much prefer Stanza. You can read books on either with a similar look, but Stanza is much more robust in terms of tools: highlighting passages, dictionary, etc. Stanza also provides a nice selection of book vendors, and free is always good. Kindle may have more books, but the last two, relatively recent titles which I wanted and was prepared to pay for, weren't available on Kindle. It all argues for a universal ebook format accessible on any reader. I would hate to see the world of books cut up and locked up by individual vendors.

The last version of Stanza is crashing when launching, Snow Leopard 10.6.1.
There are handful of languages out there where the text is written right-to-left (RTL) where the writing starts on the right side of the page and finishes on the left. Stanza iPhone / iPod Touch doesn't officially support RTL as we haven't done enough testing on it but we are starting to get reports of Stanza working quite well with RTL languages e.g., Hebrew and Arabic.
I wanted to communicate some of the common book settings used by our RTL language readers:
Layout - Alignment = Right
Controls - Left Screen Tap = Next Page
Controls - Right Screen Tap = Previous Page
Hi all,
I'm quite new to this so apologies if this message has been posted on here a million times by different people (although I did search the forum to get an answer first - couldn't find anything to help me). I am in the UK and tried buying two books from Fictionwise and BooksOnBoard via the Stanza app on my iPhone. However, it said they didn't have the rights to be purchased in the UK. So, I ended up purchasing them through the UK WHSmith ebook shop in PDF format.
I have an old Power Mac G3 B&W running OS X 10.4. Is there a version of Stanza that this ole workhorse can run?
I Love stanza, its my favourite app and I'm always using it, so much so its on my main menu bar: email, safari, music and stanza,
Now this may be a trivial issue for some (and as I can't access feedbooks at the moment due to a restore I'd agree, but while I'm here... :) But I don't like the newer app icon -- the one with the 'frame' -- I much preferred the previous smooth edged app icon that matched the majority of other icons on my ipod touch 1G 32GB.
Could you revert back to the earlier one? (maybe run a poll??) Please??
i found out about stanza in a mac user magazine and it says you can get free downloads but i dont know how to get them!
help!
Stanza has been selected by O'Reilly Media as a Best iPhone App, and is featured in O'Reilly’s upcoming book, Best iPhone Apps: A Guide for Discriminating Downloaders, due to release in July, 2009.
