Sorry if this has been asked before (I can't find a way to search the forums...), but I am having a bit of trouble. With 'home-made' e-books converted from .doc files by Calibre, about 50% of the time the text will disappear in night mode. I am not sure what is causing this as the files should be identical.

Any theories from anybody?

I have attempted to download these latest purchases from my Fictionwise bookshelf acct. This is the message that displayed . . . Failed to download and import 'A is for Alibi': Unable to translate 'A is for Alibi' for import: Unable to parse OPF data from zip: /private/var/mobile/Applications/329DEEF9-A8AB-473C-B463-2350C2808583/Imp/Downloads/download-0.translate. I am also unable to download 'D is for Deadbeat' . . . I get the same error message.
I am using Stanza v.2.1 on my 32 Gb. Apple iTouch with software v.3.1.2.

Can I read .lit books directly on iPod Touch or I must always translate them to .epub?

When I drag Stanza.app (beta 18 build #1:413) from the mounted drive to the applications shortcut (or to any other folder) I get the following error:

ERROR
An error occurred.
The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error -36.)

However, I can run Stanza from the mounted drive and it works fine. Here's the system info from Stanza:

after you edit an authors name in your library and press done stanza exits to home screen.

I've generated an epub file using the dita4publishers DITA Open Toolkit plugin. When I try to downloa/import it into Stanza on my iPhone I get an Import Failed message which is very obscure as to the real problem ..

I'll do more testing with this to see if this is a fundamental problem with epub files generated with this tool or if there's something special about the content I'm converting.
