ETA for Stanza iPhone 1.8

Is there any news on when Stanza iPhone 1.8 is likely to make the app store?

It is now quite a long time since it was stated that Stanza iPhone 1.8 had been sent to Apple. As recently I have seen major new apps go through the Apple approval process in about 7-10 days what is holding up Stanza?

what is point of view txt detail?

just to look up something in dictionary?
that's boring
a small popup menu can do that job
and a online dictionary?
quit the app and look it up in a another dictionary app may be faster

Text detail

I am really frustrated by the new tap-and-hold function to get to the text detail view. The "hold" part is too short. I am trying to tap to go to the next page, and I am continually getting re-routed to the text detail view. This has happened 20 or 30 times already in the last hour and a half since I got the update. Can you please extend the duration of the "hold" or give us an option to turn the text detail view off? I wish I could revert to the old version...

Text Detail Annoying in Stanza 1.8

I agree with posters who are being driven crazy by the new text detail function. It prevents access to the other page navigation controls. I also wish I could revert to Stanza 1.7.

The page navigation function should be available from every page without having to guess where to put one's finger or how long to keep it down.

The text detail function is a reason to look for another reader besides Stanza. It is

I agree - it's maddening

The tap and hold feature is far too sensitive and is severely disrupting the flow of the book, as it happens roughly half the time I'm trying to turn the page. Please give us the option to turn this feature OFF!

Comments on dictionary lookup feature

Adding dictionary lookup is fantastic! However, right now it requires an active network connection to be able to lookup definitions. Please make the dictionary downloadable (just as another ebook) so that we can lookup definitions when there is no network connectivity. This would be greatly appreciated by all iPod Touch users, as Wi-Fi coverage is far from universal.

i have acces to a network almost all the time but il read a lot in planes... so no dictionary... would be really nice to have acces to a dictionary even offline

Offline Dictionary Support...

I second this offline dictionary support. I love the fact dictionary support is added as well as the other features, however, most of the time I don't have a Wi-Fi connection so to use this feature I really need the dictionary on the device. There are tons of free dictionaries available, so hopefully, you could use one of them for this.

Book progress bar

It may not be obvious but there is now a book progress bar at the very bottom of the screen. It is very unobtrusive so you might not notice it at first.

To highlihgt, just tap and keep pressed. In the highlight screen you can select a word and press the define button at the botton of the screen to look up a word

Although I know you do not have any control over Apple, from what I have heard/seen with other apps you get an indication by whether Apple are raising queries and asking for them to be fixed and the app re-submitted.

I was therefore wondering if everything has gone silent from the Apple end (in which case you might want to try chasing them) or there is an on-going dialog around small points in the app.

Developers for the App Store

Developers for the App Store have to sign a pretty strict NDA with Apple that prevents them from talking about any interactions they have with Apple.

As I understand it the NDA prohibits talking about details of what is discussed in the interactions - not about whether the interactions are going on? I have not seen anything in the SDK terms that prohibits saying that Apple have raised queries about an application or asked for something to be fixed and a a re-submission made.
