101 n00bie guide for Stanza+Calibre on iPhone: the almost-perfect combination

Hi folks. I spent ages learning to use Stanza along with Calibre (to fill in the library management role) and then connecting the iPhone to Calibre. Hope u find it useful.

Thanks very much. Do you

Thanks very much. Do you mind if we put a link to it in our faq?

Of course not; you can even

Of course not; you can even cut-n-paste it whole if u want; but I'll likely update the original thread over time so perhaps a link would serve your users better. I really don't mind at all. Thank YOU guys for Stanza!

PS: Dying for a rating (5 star etc) system in iPhone, not the least so I can mark books as 'read' (I read biz getAbstracts; hundreds of them!).
PPS: Whilst accessing calibre library using the 'add stanza catalog' feature works amazingly well, I'm battling with two things that you may want to consider in future; 1) a long list takes ages to import/download, and 2) the online library is not organised in any way (eg by tags). But perhaps the latter is a calibre issue as i see that other online catalogs are indeed organised.

Keep up the good work! I do hope Stanza remains free, or at least reasonably priced...
