Stanza help! - Installing a wireless card with full explanation (Please help)

So I got an ipod touch, and the first thing I did was download stanza, and to my dismay, I found out that you cannot transfer books via the dock, and that it has to be through a wireless connection (according to the FAQs).

I have no wireless connection.

So let's say that I was going to buy a wireless card for my desktop (windows vista). How would I go about buying it, and how do I install it? Is this basically making a wifi connection in your house?

I know very little when it comes to wireless connections, so thanks in advance. One of the main reasons I bought the ipod touch was to take my books/documents with me anywhere and everywhere, you know?

For future reference, no

For future reference, no third party apps from the App Store are allowed to transfer data using the wired USB connection. This is a limitation set by Apple.

Do you ever have access to wifi on your iPod Touch? For instance, do you have a friend with wifi or do you have it at work or school or is it available at a local coffee shop? If so, you can upload books to the internet from your computer at home and then download them to your iPod Touch the next time you are near a wifi network. Follow the directions for uploading to bookworm.threepress.org found here:

When your iPod Touch is on a wifi network, you can also download tens of thousands of free books from our Online Catalog within Stanza. That is certainly the easiest way to get content.

You might be surprised to see how widely available wifi is. To find out if there's an open wifi network near you at any time, just enable the wifi setting on your iPod Touch, and see what networks are available.

I think it might be going a little far to get a wireless card for your computer just for transferring books to your iPod Touch unless you really never, ever have access to wifi. You can get a wireless card for your pc at an electronics or office supply store, like Best Buy or Staples. Tell the salesperson what kind of computer you have, making sure to mention that it's not a laptop, and they should be able to help you.

Thank you!

This helped a lot!

Would a wireless card and a

Would a wireless card and a router serve the same purpose?
