The New York Times: Stanza: “The iPhone or iPod Touch can act as an electronic book reader.”
Tip of the Week: Turn Your iPhone Into an e-Book

Bug!!

Hi I from Russia.
By simultaneous pressing the left and right part of the screen, the font decreases, it very much is not convenient because iphone constantly in a hand and constantly casually the font decreases

When you touch the screen in

When you touch the screen in two places you are using the standard iphone "pinch zoom" gesture to increase or decrease the font size. That's a feature not a bug, though i can see how having it happen on accident could get annoying. :-)

Withak is right that this

Withak is right that this standard iPhone behavior and definitely not a bug. It's actually pretty convenient to be able to change the font size without entering the Book Settings screen. In a future release, though, we hope to implement a "lock font size" setting to allow users to prevent accidental pinching and zooming.

It's very convenient if you

It's very convenient if you want to make the font one or two steps bigger or smaller which is almost impossible to do with the slider.

Making it less sensitive might help, so it would require a big pinch gesture and not just a small one that might result from accidentally touching the screen in two places.

thank you

thank you
