The New York Times: Stanza: “The iPhone or iPod Touch can act as an electronic book reader.”
— Tip of the Week: Turn Your iPhone Into an e-Book
What I would like to see in the next update for Stanza is an auto brightness built in. I don't like having to switch the brightness when i'm in the dark and then awake the next day with a screen thats super dark. Just like there is a font size changer, I would enjoy having a brightness control.
Brightness control
I agree with this post. I would love to be able to dim the display for night reading and not have to go back to settings to change the brightness. I've noticed some "flashlight" apps that have a brightness control. All of them seem to be able to dim the current brightness level but not make it brighter then is set in the "settings" app. Other than that perhaps a tweak of the turn page animation to better copy the way a page is really turned when reading a real book (this is a very minor critique). Overall though, a great app.
It's not a bad idea, but I'm
It's not a bad idea, but I'm not sure whether we can control brightness from within our application. Apple keeps certain things off limits for app developers, and this might be one of them.
