I know it might be more than could be expected, but underlining texts and annotating them would make Stanza about the best ebook reader imaginable. I would pay money for these features (and have in other readers in the past). Cheers!
maybe this is suitable for the most casual reading, but for someone doing academic reading it's not at all helpful, especially because the pagination on ebooks is troublesome so it's difficult to reference the text in another document, etc. Bookmarks are also not an elegant solution because they become cumbersome with the chapter bookmarks of the text itself.
I can't read a book with out a highlighter or writing implement. (Isn't that why God gave us margins?!?!) I find that people who are really serious readers like to record their thoughts in the margins of their books. Sometimes I use different color pens to categorize my thoughts in the book.
The eReader app already has this, so it could easily be adapted to Stanza. Even better would be a way to upload the comments to Stanza desktop, or a webserver for indexing and searching later on.
The potential of this feature would be limitless if Stanza allowed this for textbooks; imagine being able to integrate notes taken in class directly into the book. Plus no more teachers complaining about writing in books!
Great user interface. I was also really impressed by how easy it is to download books directly to my iPhone. I even got some Nietzsche in German from Gutenberg for free, within a few seconds. But who is going to read Nietzsche without the ability to take notes or hightlight? This reader is utterly useless for students, professors (like me), or any other serious readers. I have used various e-Readers for years, including versions for Palm, Windows Mobile, and Symbian devices. This is the first one I have ever tried to use that doesn't support some form of highlighting and note taking. How hard could it be to include this very basic feature? Stanza is for casual reading only.
Notes (ebooks reader)
Hello
I just started to use ebook reader and stanza on my ipod touch.
Comparing both readers I think the feature I miss most in stanza is to
add notes.
Could that feature be added, please

and dictionary support!!
and dictionary support!! thats the point of technology!
I have been reading ebooks on
I have been reading ebooks on various devices for about five or six years and have never once wanted to make a note or highlight something.

I agree
I absolutely agree. I really dont understand what good an ebook is if there's no ability to make notes and highlighting.
Notes and highlighting is crucial
