LOCKED BOOKS:
I've migrated from a Palm Pilot to the iPhone, and for the most part, I love Stanza! Then, I tried to move books I'd already purchased through ereader or fictionwise to Stanza on my iPhone by first opening them in Stanza Desktop, then saving the shared versions to the iPhone. Whenever I tried to open any of these secure books, Stanza returned the error message "Cannot open locked book." (I'm running Mac OS 10.5.4 on a MacBook Pro.)
Is there a solution, or is one coming in future versions? I'm lost without the Concise Oxford! :-)
EBOOK CREATOR:
As an editor, I read a lot of books-in-progress, all the time. I like to convert books I'm working on into ebook format. That way I can take them with me and make notes for authors in a small notebook while travelling. I use the popular eBook Studio application, and I never had any problems translating into formats that could be read either on ereader or Mobipocket on my Palm Pilot. However, my first experiment with Stanza on this front turned out to be a disaster: I created pages and pages of special characters that meant nothing. Luckily, I checked the book before putting it onto the iPhone, but it did mean I had to lug my laptop around all weekend.
Am I missing some simple formatting choice in eBook Studio?
eBook locked`
Hello, I hope someone can help. I have an eBook I purchased and it has over 500 pages, I have not been able to read it all yet. I had my computer hard drive crash on me and I had to re-install the eBook from my e-mail that was saved. I have a problem, I tried to get in touch with the person I purchased the eBook from but they will not return my messages. I can not get into my eBook anymore, it tells me to put an PIN#, I never had to do that before. Is there anyway I can read my book, or unlock it to view the rest of it? Please help.
Thanks for your help
Bob
If you bought an ebook from
If you bought an ebook from someone over email then you probably got ripped off, FYI.
Sorry!
I should have checked the faq more carefully before asking that first question. I'm still wondering about eBook Studio, though...
