Stanza Desktop not opening some Microsoft Reader and Acrobat Reader books

I often buy ebooks in microsoft reader format or Abode Acrobat reader format, then open using Stanza desktop and then share with my iPhone to read at my leisure.
What I have found is that some of the sites I download from will not ask where I wish to "save to" and will automatically save to my "My Library" file for microsoft reader. When this happens I cannot open the book using Stanza, instead I get an error message; "Could Not Load Book, Unknown error when extracting document" All the microsoft books that I download to the file of my choosing open with Stanza just fine, no problem.
I have also found a select few Abode Acrobat reader books that will not open with Stanza, in these cases the error message; "Could Not Load Book, java.lang.NullPointerException" comes up.
Is there some download or software improvement I could make or do to fix these errors and therefore open the books with Stanza? Or is there something else I could do with these downloaded books to make them open with Stanza?
I can of course still read these books using their readers on my computer, it would just be nice to curl up on the sofa or in bed to read them instead of purched on my office chair at my desk.
Any help please?
I'm sorry if this topic has been covered before I did have a quick look through the previous post but after 4 pages I had had enough :s

DRM Removal Internet Search

I have just spent about an hour searching DRM removal for ebooks on the internet...talk about information overload...man it does not look like a simple case of finding the software to decrypt, applying it and away you go :S
I might just say too hard and make sure I only download books from sites that allow me to specify where I want to save my books too.
Thank you again for the tip, after doing some reading I think you may be correct in your opinion.

Thank you for the reply :)

Thank you for the tip.
Any idea how I would go about doing that?
It would be great to try something :)

The chances are that in both

The chances are that in both these cases the files are DRM protected. You need to remove the DRM before they can be handled.
