Is it possible to transform e-books bought from ebooks.com (I believe, they have the extension .etd) to Stanza's epub? If so, how? If not, will it ever be?
Your topic about this good topic is interesting and different students will use that for their dissertation reference. And some scholars very often use the assistance of thesis service.
Yes, what happened to Adobe DRM support? I heard somewhere that Amazon owns Stanza, that problably explains there blocking Adobe DRM. AMazon should support epub with DRM. They would sell more books. I love Amazon for buying books and other things but plan to buy an ereader with epub drm support.
I also would love to see this happening, in particular if Amazon indeeds owns Stanza. I love buying books with Amazon, but sometimes I just can't buy the book I am looking for with them - e.g. in my own language (Dutch). Why can't they make it easy that books that I have regularly bought with another (specialized) e-shop I can also read on my kindle? Again, if I have the choice, I'll buy with Amazon, it is so easy....
Almost certainly no - those books tend to be DRM protected which Stanza cannot handle.
There has been talk of Stanza supporting the ADE DRM protection for some time - but so far it has not materialised, and I have not seen any recent indication that it will be any time soon.
