Hello there,
as I have now invested really much time and cant help myself, I know to ask for help here on the forums:
I use an iPhone 3G 16 GB with Stanza 1.91.
I have a few PDF's on my Desktop and I wanted to transfer them to my iphone, as I have no wireless, I tried it via the USB and iPhone Browser method. I created a Stanza Folder and I converted my PDF's do epub and whatever... When I move them to the folder they are there, but they dont show up on the iPhone once i open Stanze.
Can anybody plz help me, because its really annoying when it doesnt work the way it should!!
Thx in advance!

I think Lexcycle's guide is a bit outdated, here is the method that worked for me:
1) convert your books to epub using Stanza Desktop or Calibre. They have to be in ePub format. If you aren't SURE you have a properly formatted ePub book, go here: http://www.mobileread.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=130 and download a free one to try. Or download one from Project Gutenberg. Just make sure it is a ".ePub" file. I am using http://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60426 Alcott's Little Women as an example.
2)Download and install the free "iPhone Explorer" utility from http://www.iphone-explorer.com
3)Connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB cable and launch iPhone Explorer
4) Go to File/Select Root Directory and select the custom option- it should say "/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/"--?-- and has an "Edit" button.
5) Click the "Edit" button, and type in "Stanza", with no quote marks (so Stanza )
6) You should see two window panes in iPhone Explorer: The left one is the iPhone Directory, the right one is where you drag the ePub files. So drag your ePub file onto the right hand pane, and you should see the book title Little Women under "Name", EPUB under File Type, and 6MB under size. (or whatever your books are) If you didn't load the proper format, it won't show up correctly.
7) Launch Stanza on the iPhone. Note, you cannot have it open already. If its open, close it, and relaunch it. Stanza will open with the Downloads window open, and Little Women (or your book of course) Click the blue arrow on the right, and start reading!
8) Your book(s) should now be on your iPhone in the Stanza library. As a note-if you go back to iPhone Explorer, the book will be gone from that temp. folder you created-Stanza moves it automatically on the iPhone to its own directory.
I just tested this on an iPhone 3GS, Stanza 1.9.1, and a Windows XP computer. Worked without problems. Good luck!
