I've been converting .lit, .pdf, and other files for use on my Kindle. And Stanza does a great job at converting the titles and text. However, author information—while set in Stanza—never seems to actually get displayed on the Kindle. It is just blank.
This makes finding books in, say, a series, a lot more difficult.
Particularly interesting is that .mobi files created by Project Gutenberg seem to have authors on the Kindle—but when I open them in Stanza, the software doesn't think any author is set. This suggests to me that the Stanza has some issues with its file importing, but I'm certainly no expert.
Are there any work-arounds? I'm running the software on OSX.
Thanks!
(Also—a feature request: Bulk conversion would be really nice.)
You might want to try using
You might want to try using Calibre rather than Stanza for the conversion. It is has more powerful metadata facilities.
