stanza crash bug in iphone v3.1

When I update my iphone from 3.0 to 3.1, a bad thing happened. I used to go to a chinese online catalog to download books. This website needs to submit a ID and password to download. Everything goes fine with 3.0. But after update to 3.1 today, I found that when I submit the ID and password, stanza go crash and back to the desktop.

Stanza works fine in 3.1 when I download from gutenberg. I think it may because gutenberg don't need to submit ID and password.

So, I think stanza just cannot submit ID and password when downloading in Iphone v3.1

Thank you so much for the response. The url of the catalog is "http://books.blah.me/index.atom". Then, you choose the "epub XXXX" (X means chinese words). Then you may search for the word "English" and it will show up there is a novel called "english" :) . Then press download and you can randomly enter ID and password (Of course it's wrong ID and password). It will crash too even if the ID and password is not corret. If you want the correct ID and password to test. I already sign up a ID for you. The ID is "hellostanza" and the password is "qazxswedc".

I sincerely hope that the bug can be solved that I can continue reading and Thank you very much.

I am able to reproduce the crash in iPhoneOS 3.1. However, I'm not able to download a book either with or without the correct username. E.g., if I try to fetch http://hellostanza:qazxswedc@www.cnepub.com/CatalogAuthorize.php?id=1992 using a web browser or curl, I just see a small piece of binary text. Are you certain that the book downloads are working successfully? If so, can you post (or e-mail to support@lexcycle.com) a full URL of a book that should be downloadable into Stanza?

I am sorry that I don't know how to do it in Windows' internet browser.

I was using iphone and add a new catalog in stanza, and go into that catalog to download books. The crash happens just at there. I don't know about why windows' browser has something to do with this bug. I am sorry.

We haven't seen this problem before. Does the crash occur after the sign-in dialog comes up and you enter your information, or does it crash before that? Can you let us know the name of the catalog and the title of the item that prompts for the username and password (since we don't speak Chinese) so we can try to reproduce the problem?

I am having a similar problem

I updated my iPhone about an hour ago and Stanza has consistently crashed on me whenever I attempt to download books. Some of them I manage to download, others - well, it seems like the app is crashing every two minutes sometimes. Unlike the original poster, I don't have to have a username or password to sign in to the catalog I'm using. I'm using an Online Catalog that's basically my PC and Calibre synced with my Stanza app.

Are you downloading multiple books at the same time? If so, can you try just downloading one book at a time and let us know if Stanza still crashes?

No, I'm trying to download one book at a time. Sometimes it will let me download a few in a row (again, one at a time), but mostly it just crashes when I go to select a book from the catalog list, no matter the book.
