Hi, I'm running Stanza Desktop version 1.0.0-beta17 build #1:403 on Windows 7 RC. I have noticed the following problem(s) (not sure if they are related).
1.) When I close the stanza windows, the process or processes still show up in my task manager. I have to manually kill them.
2.) When a process is already running, and I try to open an ebook by double clicking on it (as opposed to File > Open from an existing Stanza window), I get the following error message. "An error occurred when trying to access the Bonjour services. Please report this problem to support@lexycle.com. java.net.SocketException: Unrecognized Windows Sockets error: 0: JVM_Bind". It occurs also if I click on "enable sharing" while another process is already sharing an ebook. So then I have to force quit the existing processes from task manager (as the windows are usually closed already) in order to enable sharing.
I'm much more worried about why Stanza is not shutting down cleanly, and why opening up a book by double clicking on it starts a new process while opening up a book by going to File > Open does not. Perhaps this is only a beta/windows 7 bug?
Otherwise, Stanza is working great. :)

fix date
any one know a fix date? Cant select the "enable sharing" on stanza as I get the same error.
Am running Windows 7
We're hoping to get this
We're hoping to get this problem fixed soon. In the meantime, the problem should go away if you launch the Task Manager and kill off old instances of Stanza.exe (or else just reboot) before launching Stanza, and then once Stanza is launched, opening new books using the "File" menu.
This is a known problem with
This is a known problem with Stanza. We're working on fixing it, but until then you should be able to select File->Exit to quit the application completely.
I remember when I wrote in
I remember when I wrote in Java, I had this problem with my application, too. It's counter-intuitive because you need to bind/override the window closing action to System.exit. In this case, the program would of course have to check if it's the only open window. IIRC, this should be an easy fix where the Swing windowpane(?) is instantiated.
Double-clicking to open
Double-clicking to open (instead of doing File -> Open) also creates an extra instance of stanza for me in windows xp pro.
