Problem converting pdf to epub using Stanza

I recently downloaded from a Google Book Search website to my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.5.7) a book written in 18th-century French and photocopied in pdf format. In the MacBook Pro Preview, the book is displayed as a series of individual photocopied pages. I want to convert the entire book to an ePub format and transfer it from my MacBook Pro to my 32 GB iPod Touch so that I can have the entire book on the iPod and can read it using Stanza. I have Stanza (v. 1.0 beta 16) on my MacBook Pro desktop and also on my iPod.

The problem is that when I opened the 14.5 MB PDF file in the Stanza Desktop on my Mac, only the first page appeared. And when I tried to export the PDF book converting it to ePub format, only the first page was exported and converted.

I really don't want to have to repeat this operation for every single page of the PDF book. Is there a way I can get Stanza to recognize and work with the PDF book as a unitary whole?

The problem is that Stanza

The problem is that Stanza Desktop is only able to convert books that have text in them; books that consist just of images are lost. The reason the one image showed up is that Stanza was guessing that it was the cover image for the book.

We hope in the near future to be able to offer a better solution for getting these books available in Stanza.
