Smashwords Books on Stanza

I'm an author with books published through www.Smashwords.com on Stanza. Just curious to learn whether anyone ever uses the Smashwords website instead of the iPhone app to buy books. Smashwords is running a "sale" until the end of July. My books and many others are free, but I'm not sure the word is getting out. Any direct-from-Smashwords users out there?

Thanks for letting us know!

Didn't really know much about Smashwords-- or that there was a July sale, including several free ebooks. However, thanks to your post, now I know--and so will others!

How great that there's a site for self-published and independent writers. But they really should change the name of the site! Smashwords sounds violent and negative, and not inviting at all!

Did they send out announcements to the main ebook & mobile reading sites (e.g., Mobile Read) or key blogging sites (e.g., Teleread)? Those I look at weekly, but don't recall seeing an advert or blurb about the sale.

I'll have to download your books... pretty impressive to have an author in our midst! And one already published in Alfred Hitchcock Mysteries. I like the idea of a librarian sleuth... Good luck with your writing career!
