Twitter Book only for iPod 2G?

Hi,

I purchased the Twitter Book app and being a simple eBook app I tough it will work on my iPod touch 1G. No application has been incompatible with my device until now. What's the particular reason that this app needs 2G exclusively? Please fix this app, I don't want to lost my 5 bucks.

Thanks,

Twitter Book App does work on iPod 1G

We've updated the settings for the app to work with iPod Touch and iPhone (OS 2.0 or higher). Sorry for the inconvenience.

Still can't update

Hi,

Thanks for updating app store.

Unfortunately that doesn't fix my problem. You see, I purchased the old version, which is not being able to install in my 1st gen ipod touch. The only way (that I know) an app is updated is from the ipod itself, and since there's nothing installed there I can get the fixed version. I don't know if there's a way to upgrade from iTunes, please let me know if you know how.

Thanks

You should be able to just

You should be able to just delete the app from iTunes and then re-download it, either from within iTunes, or using the "App Store" app on the device itself. Since you already purchased the book, you won't be charged a second time.

Are you sure?

I delete the app from iTunes and did clic on the "buy" button of app store. A message saying "A payment method will be charged for this purchase and your application will begin to download immediatly". Should I accept this question?

I thought that Apple always

I thought that Apple always allows you to re-download the same app without ever having to re-purchase it, but I agree that that is a troubling message. Is the account on your iPhone (under the settings app's "Store" item) the same as the account for iTunes? If you try to re-buy it from within iTunes rather than the App Store app, do you get the same message?

I regularily get the messasge

I regularily get the messasge about purchasing an app I have previously downloaded. It is only when I agree to proceed that I get the message saying I have previously purchased and will not be charged again.

This is definitely one area where Apple can improve the app store/itunes.

If you are trying to figure

If you are trying to figure out whether you bought something in the past you can check by trying to rate it in iTunes. You are only allowed to rate things you have bought, but it doesn't matter if it still installed or not. If it won't let you rate something then you haven't bought it in the past.

It worked

Thanks itimpi.

It was the first time I tried to re-download an app I previously purchased so I had to be sure. TwitterBook is installed in my iPod now.

Thanks everyone involved
