I installed Beta 17 Stanza Desktop on my new MacMini and it will not open. The icon keeps bouncing in the dock then stops after about a minute and nothing happens. When I click on the icon I can only Force Quit it. I installed the latest updates and I repaired disk permissions. I tried removing the app and reinstalling - no luck.

What version of the OS are you running? You may need to download the latest version of Java for your OS from http://developer.apple.com/java/download/ (Apple sometimes doesn't include the latest Java in software updates for some reason).
If that doesn't help, can you launch the "Activity Monitor" app, select the "Stanza" process, hit the "Sample Process" button, select "Sample Text" in the Display pop-up of the resulting window, and then copy and paste the text into this thread so we can take a look?

Perhaps my posts including the "Sample Process" data are simply too long for this forum and are getting clipped? I am having the same problem with Stanza hanging on launch. Below is my system information:
System Version: Mac OS X 10.5.7 (9J61)
Kernel Version: Darwin 9.7.0
$ java -version

Yes - the same problem with beta 16
Same thing happens with beta 16. I just e-mailed you the sample text from the Activity Monitor.

Actually, can you try beta15 (http://balance.lexcycle.com/static/stanza/1.0.0-beta15/Stanza.dmg)? That was the release at which some things changed that could be causing this problem.
