Project Gutenberg catalog searching needs to be improved!

Really like Stanza, really like the catalog access to Project Gutenberg. Is the organization that I see-- e.g., alphabetical authors listing-- something that Lexcycle has set up or that PG is in control of?

I'm asking because searching by alphabet for authors is truly cumbersome... my example is Foster... if one taps on the F, one has to scroll through screen after screen (many authors have last names that begin with F) before one gets to Foster! In fact, F has 898 authors as of this morning May 31, 2009.

How much better it would work if one could tap F and then tap o for F-o listings.

Using Search instead doesn't really work either... if one searches for Foster, one gets authors whose middle name is Foster, books whose titles include Foster, etc. So that's not very good either!

Yep, really like the Other

Yep, really like the Other Books by the Author feature. Thanks for the reply!

The organization of the

The organization of the catalog is controlled by us. It is true that it is tedious to navigate to an author whose name's second letter comes further along the alphabet. We hope to address that soon, but for the time being the best bet would be to try to use the search feature to find one of the books by the author, tap on the description, and then go to "Other Books by the Author".
