In the last week or so this forum is being filled up with spam and the only support person replying is unverified. This doesn't give the average reader confidence that there will be any future development with Stanza. A definite statement that new features and improvements are being worked on (such as an offline dictionary for example) would help keep the rest of us jumping ship. Thanks.

ust letting you know that I try out all of the readers available for my ipod touch. Stanza still leads the pack because of its versatility and well conceived and excellently implemented interface. I'm look forward to the next iteration. I hope that Amazon gives you all a raise and knows enough not to mess with a good thing.
knows enough not to mess with a good thing
After what Amazon did with Mobipocket I fear that Amazon does not "knows enough not to mess with a good thing".
Adobe Digital Editions
Any news on when Stanza will be able to read the Adobe Digital Editions?
I'd like to know this too.
I'd like to know this too. Adobe Digital Editions is the format of DRM ebooks sold most in the UK where I live. I was doing ok buying DRM ebooks from the Stanza/Fictionwise store, but now they're enforcing geographical restrictions (US/Canada only) on most titles I want to buy :( I'm hoping a new version of Stanza will let me buy ebooks in the UK and read those.
Stanza still my preferred reader

Sorry
Thanks for pointing this out to us. With Marc on vacation for a week and a 3-day weekend in the U.S., we dropped the ball. Hopefully the spam is now cleaned up and we'll endeavor to continue to keep it cleaned up.
I hope this is definitive enough: New features and improvements are being actively worked on, in particular, getting Stanza ready for the upcoming iPhone 3.0 SDK.

Hi there Neelan. I have a feature request/bug to point out.
As i see in the poll on the right - most people read their books with iphone/itouch in bed as i often do too.
The problem ive just found trying to read my first book with Stanza is that rotating doesnt quite work they way one would want it to.
It is impossible to hold the itouch in landscape view while laying down horizontally yourself in bed (since the itouch is really held vertically). And this is a very annoying thing which apple solved in the following way with their safari browser: basically the same thing happens if you hold the device vertically but want it to show landscape, as does in Stanza, but the content doesnt flip so fast if you hold it the other way - as in if you rotate the itouch 180 degrees.
It seems like a minor thing, but for me for example, its the choice between reading in Stanza and reading in Safari browser. :)
I really hope you incorporate this extra feautre! Thanks for the app!

I'm not sure what you're
I'm not sure what you're saying. Stanza does, however, have a setting to lock the book's rotation so that it doesn't rotate accidentally while reading in bed.
small bug
if you launch stanza with the iPhone tilted, it will sometimes rotate ONCE and lock in that direction. This may be a feature, but it's not a very useful one for me. Maybe if you changed the controls from "lock rotation" to "lock in landscape or portrait" it would be more useful, if not as elegant.

And what hat that to do with
And what hat that to do with "Stanza become abandoned already"?
Start a new threat and use a useful heading like "small bug in rotating a book".
