Hi,
I built an ePub of my own, but when I try to open the book in Stanza Destkop, it is unreadable.
It seems Stanza doesn't recognize my ePub as such. It reads other ePub files quite well, that's how I know the problem comes from my files, but the fact is, there's no DRM and the ePub is valid. is anyone aware of an error like this that passes epubcheck ? I've been checking my code for the last 6 hours now... and still no clue..
thanks in advance for the help !
this is what it looks like :

Have you tried opening it in
Have you tried opening it in any other programs that can read EPUB e.g., Adobe Digital Editions, Calibre, Bookworm?
Also, the attached error you included is unreadable.
it worked fine in bookworm,
it worked fine in bookworm, calibre and DE + checked ok by threepress ePub validator.
my script only bugded with stanza. and no way to find where I messed up...
I found some sort of a solution converting my hand-made ePub into a Calibre ePub... and it worked...
but still no idea what went wrong.
thanks for your answer !
My wild guess is that you
My wild guess is that you don't have an uncompressed "mimetype" entry as the first zip entry (take a look at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/epub-community/message/174). If that's not the problem, and if you can share the book, feel free to send it to devsupport@lexcycle.com and we'll take a look at it.
