My stuff: Mac Mini 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo with 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM running Mac OS X 10.5.6.
Stanza Desktop Version 1.0 Beta 16 (35 MB).
No error messages. It just takes forever to launch with the multicolored ball whirling the whole 18 1/2 minutes.
Used Console on Mac 10.5. Here are console messages:

18 1/2 minutes between first console message when launching and second console message when empty book page finally appeared inviting me to load a book.
This just started happening yesterday after a power failure shut off the Mac. Any help would be appreciated. Playing solitaire while waiting is not a fun option.
That's quite a long time! If
That's quite a long time! If you try re-installing Stanza and/or rebooting your machine, does it change anything?
Also, if you just launch Stanza itself without opening a book, does that take a long time as well? I'm trying to determine if it is Stanza's launching that is slow or if it is the opening of a book.
Did that
Tried reinstalling - assumed maybe program was corrupted by improper powerdown. But that didn't fix it. The long time happens regardless, whether just launching Stanza or double-clicking a book file. When launching Stanza by itself, then opening book, long delay both times.
