1.8 - Cant transfer books from mac to ipod
Since upgrading to 1.8 I cant transfer from the mac to the ipod, nothing else has changed so its def an issue with 1.8
On the contrary, it is
On the contrary, it is extremely unlikely to be related to 1.8, since we didn't change anything having to do with sharing.
It's possible (though also unlikely) that you might need to re-allow sharing. When you select "Shared Books" and then "Books on My Computer" in Stanza on your iPod Touch, a window might pop up on your computer asking if you want to allow the connection between Stanza on your iPod Touch and Stanza on your computer. You might need to click "Allow" again after installing 1.8 depending on how you installed it.
What is more likely is that since the last time you shared, something else on your iPod Touch or computer or network changed. For instance,
* Is your iPod Touch connected to a different wifi network from the one your computer your computer is connected to?
* Do you have a proxy or VPN enabled on your iPod Touch that you need to turn off?
* In the Stanza Settings, is your shared domain "local"?
* Did you (or your operating system) re-enable your firewall since the last time you shared (e.g., by rebooting)?
* Has an OS update added extra security since the last time you shared?
* Has your router been rebooted or had an update since the last time you shared?

Here are the instructions for sharing using Stanza Desktop. At which step are you encountering a problem and what behavior and error message do you see?
1. Launch Stanza Desktop and open a book.
2. Make sure your iPod Touch and computer are on the *same* wireless network. (If you don't have a wireless network, then follow these directions here for uploading to bookworm.threepress.org.)
3. Go to Tools menu and select Enable Sharing and Allow Anonymous Sharing.
4. Launch Stanza on your iPod Touch and tap on Shared Books.
5. You should now see "Books on My Computer". (If you don't see that, it means your computer and phone are not on the same wifi network, or your router is blocking the connection, or you forgot to turn off your proxy or VPN on your iPod Touch.)
6. Tap on "Books on My Computer". You should now see the book you opened in step 1. (If you don't, then there is a firewall or other security setting on your computer that is blocking the connection.)
7. Tap Download, and then tap Read Now.
