Display dims during reading

My display (iPhone) will dim after a few minutes reading. It becomes unreadable at that point. I've tried changing themes, backgrounds, font colors, turning night mode off and on. As it is Stanza is becoming useless. Any advice would be appreciated.

Turn off "Dim Screen When

Turn off "Dim Screen When Idle" in the the main Stanza settings, accessible from the main Library screen.

You can also make your iPhone itself take longer to dim. This is in the main iPhone Settings screen: Settings->General->Auto Lock.

It's also possible that you are accidentally dimming the screen by swiping down in the center of the screen while reading. To increase brightness, swipe up.

Thank you so much for answering this. I just updated Stanza and thought I was losing my mind when the screen dimmed to uselessness and nothing I did seemed to fix it.
