Stanza App Banned in iTunes Romania

I just discovered Stanza and as a publication designer based in New York City, I look forward to using it with my web and print clients. I was just talking about this to a designer I know in Romaia who has an iPod. When he tried to get Stanza, the iTunes store said that iTunes Store Romania does not carry this app. I forget the exact wording. Maybe he is the one who used the word "banned." But the Kindle app was also not available.
I tried a Google search but could not find anything about this. Do you know why Stanza is not available there? I wonder about other countries.
