I've been traveling so much that my blogging and tweeting really hasn't been particularly consistent or as timely as I would have liked. Oh well, I guess better late than never. Last week, the NY Times published their article "The Ten Best Books of 2008" which is a list of selected titles from "100 Notable Books of 2008".
We are real excited to announce that a number of Pan Macmillan titles are now available as a free excerpt through Stanza's Online Catalog and those books are available for purchase from the Pan Macmillan website. I've included detailed instructions below for those of you who are interested:
I know this is old news since the press release went out last week and there have been lots of blogs and news about this announcement already. I was in NY all week (crazy schedule that kept me going from 8am to midnight every day). Hopefully what I lost in timeliness, I will make up for in interesting content.
The ePUB standard is an open format for electronic books from the International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF). Stanza for iPhone and iPod Touch supports ePUB files natively, and Lexcycle is one of the member companies of the IDPF. ePUB is currently the only format of books that Stanza iPhone can read. Stanza Desktop also supports ePUB among about a dozen other formats.
Today, I had a reminder of why we do what we do here at Lexcycle. No, I am not referring to our mention in the NY Times though making the print edition of the Times is always cool. I am not even referring to our press release announcing that we've passed half a million users.
